Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant coffee shop environment, supporting team development and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the coffee shop team, ensuring smooth operation during shifts
Assist with food preparation, including brewing coffee, making specialised drinks, and handling light food service tasks
Oversee the training and development of staff, fostering a positive team environment
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety standards
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and maintaining operational standards

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or barista roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Demonstrable supervising experience with team management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and food production processes
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Previous experience in hospitality, including restaurant or hotel environments, is highly desirable
Competence in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques is advantageous
Experience in managing stock control and ensuring compliance with health regulations

Pay: £24,420.00-£33,707.41 per year
