Full job description

As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the success of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards. Your expertise in food safety, preparation techniques, and cooking methods will contribute to the overall quality of our menu offerings. The salary range quoted includes a basic salary and a share of the service charge.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities, ensuring efficient and high-quality food production
- Assist in the development and implementation of menus and recipes
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet customer expectations
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with managing inventory and controlling food costs
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative dishes and menu items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Team management skills to coordinate kitchen staff effectively
