Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Staff / Dessert Maker to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing a variety of desserts and assisting with food production in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to creating delightful dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a range of desserts, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
Assist in food production tasks, including ingredient preparation, mixing, and cooking
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Follow recipes accurately and ensure consistency in dessert offerings
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances
Support the team during busy periods by assisting with general kitchen duties as required
Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised through proper handling practices

Experience

Previous experience in food production or preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred
Knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation is highly desirable
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen environment
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced culinary setting is advantageous
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications will be considered an asset but are not essential for the right candidate
