Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of mechanical knowledge and practical skills to perform various maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out day-to-day repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, and joinery tasks
Conducting regular safety checks and maintenance routines
Ensuring our environment remains clean, safe, and homely for residents and staff
Supporting staff with emergency call-outs (out-of-hours, paid accordingly)
Liaising with external contractors when required
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations.

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
Good general knowledge of property upkeep
A can-do attitude and ability to work independently
Respectful, compassionate approach to working in a care setting
Willingness to be on-call for emergency issues (rotated or by arrangement)

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform various repair tasks.
