Do you want to join a compassionate team committed to high-quality care within an ‘Outstanding’ Trust?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to join our team. You will be part of a small admin team, carrying out the day-to-day administration tasks for referrals to the CAMHS Getting More Help and Targeted teams. The post is for 30 hours, 4 days a week 9am - 5pm (0.8 WTE) Tues -Fri. You will be based in the offices at Erlegh House, in the beautiful grounds of the University of Reading. There is free parking on site and our team is warm, compassionate, and welcoming.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills; have the ability to multi-task and prioritise, be familiar with the Trust computer systems and have very good IT skills. You will need to be efficient in using Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word packages. You will have previous administration experience, as well as resilience to deal with its fast pace, patient-focus and the sometimes emotionally distressing nature of mental health issues.

The CAMHS Teams provide assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination for children and young people who are experiencing moderate to severe complex mental health difficulties. We work as a close and supportive multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with other CAMHS teams and external agencies to provide high quality and holistic mental health care to young people.

Assist with planning and arranging internal and external meetings and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place, including room bookings and refreshments.

Attend designated meetings, taking and transcribing complex and sensitive minutes, and distribute meeting information promptly.

Maintain electronic and paper-based office systems to ensure efficient administrative processes. Accurately record data across electronic systems and produce confidential correspondence, reports and documentation to a high standard within agreed timescales.

Provide dedicated secretarial support to Service Managers, including diary management. Collect, process and present management and service information.

Maintain effective communication across the service by managing telephone enquiries, taking messages and reporting equipment faults. Organise incoming and outgoing mail and distribute service user and staff communications.

Order stationery and maintain office supplies as delegated by the Team Lead. Support service projects through a range of administrative and clerical duties.

Take responsibility for personal development through supervision and training, ensuring personal objectives align with Trust goals. Comply with statutory, legislative and local policies, promote health, safety and security across the service, and undertake any other duties required by the Service Manager.

The “must haves” for this role:
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.

NVQ3 or equivalent qualification/experience.

Previous knowledge and experience of working in an office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties, including minute-taking.

Knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages.

Excellent digital typing skills.
