Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Events Ushers to join our team for various events. The successful candidates will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming and organised environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in management, hospitality, and guest services within a dynamic event setting. Candidates must be personable, attentive, and capable of maintaining a positive attitude throughout their shift.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
Provide clear directions and information about event programmes or facilities
Manage guest flow to ensure smooth entry and exit procedures
Monitor the venue to uphold safety standards and address any guest concerns promptly
Assist with event setup and breakdown as required
Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times
Collaborate with management and other team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Requirements

Previous experience in management, hospitality, or guest services is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Friendly, approachable demeanour with strong customer service orientation
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or specialised event times as needed
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with the role
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about venue operations and safety procedures

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
