Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will support the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals while ensuring food safety standards are upheld. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and hospitality to develop their skills within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with menu specifications
Support cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and proper storage of ingredients
Support the serving staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients or assisting with plating as needed
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and working collaboratively

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
A genuine interest in culinary arts and hospitality service
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene
