Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to individuals, including children, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a caring and professional environment. The role involves working closely with clients to promote independence, confidence, and well-being through mentoring, teaching, and tailored support activities.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised support to clients, including children, in various settings such as homes, schools, or community centres
Assist clients with daily activities and routines, fostering independence and self-confidence
Implement mentoring programmes aimed at developing life skills and socialisation abilities
Support educational activities by teaching new skills or reinforcing learning in collaboration with teachers or carers
Encourage participation in social and recreational activities to promote well-being and community engagement
Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made, ensuring compliance with organisational policies
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver consistent and effective support plans

Requirements

Experience or interest in working with children or vulnerable individuals
Skills in mentoring and teaching are highly desirable
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of each individual client
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare required
Relevant qualifications or training in supporting roles (e.g., health & social care) are advantageous but not essential
A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment

This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a positive impact through supportive care and education.

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,089.96 per year
