You'll care for child in Market Harborough, working Waking Nights Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 9.00pm to 7.00am to provide safe and consistent care in their own home.

They live with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Hypoglycemia, Pacemaker, Long QT Syndrome, PEG, Suctioning.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You'll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You'll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual's condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions

Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment

Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration

Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately

What We're Looking For

This is more than a job. You'll be trusted with someone's safety and wellbeing while delivering care that requires skill, focus and sound judgement. It takes a certain kind of person: someone compassionate, dependable and highly attentive who can remain calm and act correctly under pressure. We also require the following:

A full UK driving licence

Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training

Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness

The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently

Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping

A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care

Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Pay rate: £13.50 per hour

Shifts: Waking Nights / Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 2100 to 0700

About the Role & our client:
As a Healthcare Assistant at Komplex Care, you'll be providing care and support to the client. She is a young child, requiring support both at school and at home. The family enjoys going on holiday and will need support during travel, including driving a mobility van.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Support: Assist with suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration.
Health Monitoring: Support the child with epilepsy management and other health needs, responding appropriately to medical emergencies.
Personal Care & Mobility: Assist with moving and handling and daily personal care routines.
Educational Support: Support the child's learning, development, and engagement within the classroom environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Skills & Qualities Required:

Experience in medical or complex care for children

Knowledge of PEG
Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills

Ability to follow care plans and therapeutic programmes
