Family Time Worker – Part Time – 22.2hours – Rossendale

Children and Family Wellbeing Service (Early Help)
Salary: £25,989 – £28,142 (pro rata) | Grade 5
Location: Rossendale, Lancashire
Contract: Permanent, Part Time

Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and families during some of the most challenging times in their lives?

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and skilled Family Time Worker to join our Rossendale team. This rewarding role gives you the opportunity to support children and families by facilitating safe, positive, and meaningful family time sessions when children are living apart from their parents or carers.

As a Family Time Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children maintain important family relationships while ensuring their safety and wellbeing remains at the heart of everything you do.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

Plan and deliver supervised family time sessions in partnership with Social Workers and Senior Family Support Workers.
Create welcoming, child-focused environments where children can safely spend time with their families.
Observe and accurately record interactions between children and family members.
Support parents and carers to build confidence and strengthen their parenting skills during family time sessions.
Manage challenging situations professionally and establish appropriate boundaries when required.
Contribute to care planning meetings and provide observations that inform future decision-making.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and partner professionals.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

Has experience working with children, young people and families.
Can quickly build trust and positive relationships.
Has strong observation, recording and communication skills.
Can remain calm and confident when managing challenging situations.
Understands the needs of vulnerable children and families.
Is organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Has a Level 2 qualification (or above) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
