Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Nigerian Baker to join our vibrant bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Nigerian baked goods and pastries, ensuring high-quality food production that delights our customers. Your expertise in food preparation, baking techniques, and kitchen operations will contribute to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where traditional flavors are celebrated. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your baking skills while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of traditional Nigerian baked goods, including agege bread, pastries, and snacks, following established recipes and standards
Ensure all food production processes adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, kneading, shaping dough, and decorating baked items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station and kitchen area throughout shifts
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality and consistency
Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
Support the overall operation of the bakery by participating in menu planning and product development initiatives

Skills

Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or bakery environment
Strong knowledge of Nigerian baking traditions, recipes, and ingredients
Excellent skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in commercial kitchens
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
Prior experience in bakery settings is highly desirable
