What you'll be doing

You'll build your own pipeline from the ground up - prospecting, outreaching and converting clients, and taking real ownership of the relationships you create. You will:

Build your own client pipeline through cold outreach, prospecting and proactive relationship-building
Manage and continually develop your own sales pipeline, qualifying and following up on every lead
Engage decision-makers across calls, LinkedIn, email, face-to-face meetings and networking events
Negotiate contract rates and issue customer quotations that protect profitability without losing the deal
Get to know your customers' own goals, building relationships that go beyond the transaction
Keep a finger on the pulse of the market - industry trends, competitor movement and emerging opportunity
Lead client meetings and present KDE's story, services and value with confidence
Complete tender documentation accurately and compliantly, protecting KDE's reputation and yours
Consistently hit and exceed sales targets, revenue goals and activity metrics

What we're looking for

We're less interested in ticking every box and more interested in drive, rapport and results. Ideally you'll bring:

A background in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Construction, Property or Electrical services (FM experience particularly valued)
Proven business development or new business sales experience
A track record of building your own pipeline, with real examples of how you've hit targets
Natural rapport-building skills, on the phone and in person
A results-driven, self-motivated mindset with a genuine hunger to succeed
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well within a small team
Commercial awareness and sharp attention to detail
A full UK driving licence - this role will take you out to client sites
Confident, influential communication, and the emotional intelligence to read a room
Great time management and a proactive approach.
