Full job description

Job Overview
Under new ownership and management, the hotel is entering a fresh phase of development, and we are looking for people who want to be part of this positive journey. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment, requiring a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise a team when necessary. This position offers an opportunity to utilise your mechanical, electrical, and supervisory expertise within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust equipment performance
Perform welding tasks for repairs or fabrication as required
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed
Assist with the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally

Skills

Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance management.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general building systems.
Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
Leadership and team management experience.
Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively under pressure.
Good communication skills and ability to liaise with staff, contractors, and management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving

This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, dependable, and eager to contribute their technical expertise within a collaborative team setting.
