Full job description

John Julian is a pottery workshop and online retailer selling high-end ceramic kitchenware, tableware and serveware all hand made in the UK by skilled makers.

Our ceramics are sold via our website and by hand-picked retailers around the world. Our pieces can also be found in restaurants and hotels. Loved by our customers, every piece we make, whether it is a plate, bowl or pestle and mortar, is shaped from raw clay with care and craftsmanship and are designed to last a lifetime.

We are seeking a quick learning, adaptable, conscientious and methodical Administrator to provide general office and sales admin support for approximately 20 hours per week, across 4-5 days, Monday to Friday, ideally 8/8:30am - 1pm.

This is a fully office based role in Burcombe (near Wilton, Salisbury).

The salary will be competitive and dependant on your skills and experience.

We'd love to hear from you if you can start asap and have the following:

previous admin experience
are extremely organised, efficient and calm working in a fast paced environment
are a quick learner
have excellent attention to detail.
can communicate confidently with customers as the first point of contact
work well within a team and are willing to muck-in wherever is needed.
are a competent IT user (MS Office and ideally an e-commerce package).
experience of arranging shipping and logistics (including shipping abroad) is desirable, or you must be willing and quick to learn this with training, as this is an important part of the role.
