Job Summary
Job Vacancy: Experienced Chef/Professional Cook We are a family-run business seeking an experienced chef or professional cook to join our team.

Our establishment is proud to serve traditional, high-quality English fare with a touch of flair. Our menu is cantered around fine English pub cuisine, crafted using only the highest quality ingredients. We take pride in making everything on-site to ensure the best possible experience for our clients.

The position requires someone who is passionate about cooking, thrives in a busy environment, and is committed to delivering excellence. Our kitchen is modern, well-maintained, and fully equipped to support your creativity and skills. Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality food preparation
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
Ensure all food presentation meets the organisation’s quality standards
Collaborate with team members to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
Serve dishes to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service protocols

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant sectors
Demonstrable supervising experience with team management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary hygiene
Excellent skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential

Pay: £15.50-£19.28 per hour
