Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves delivering excellent service to our guests, assisting with food and drink orders, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and previous experience in catering or restaurant environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to providing outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service areas
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Set up tables, organise dining areas, and clear after service
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly
Support barista duties, including preparing coffee and other beverages when needed
Assist in catering events or special functions as required

Skills

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is advantageous
Barista experience is desirable but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering exceptional guest service
