Job Overview - Welcome to Little Explorers :)

It's lovely to see you here!
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive space for children to thrive. Prior nursery experience and strong communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to management and leadership within the team.

Duties

Plan and deliver high-quality educational activities tailored to individual children's needs, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that promotes best practices in childcare.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding children's development, behaviour, and well-being.
Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the nursery setting.
Contribute to the planning of curriculum activities that stimulate learning and curiosity among children.
Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare management as required.
Support the ongoing professional development of team members through mentoring and sharing expertise.

Requirements

Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
Proven experience working within nurseries or early childhood education settings.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of current safeguarding policies and procedures relevant to early years settings.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones.
