Full job description

We are seeking to employ a second chef/cook for Berwood Court Care Home to join a great team to provide nutritious meals for our residents. You will need NVQ Level 2 in Cookery and Food Hygiene training, whilst not essential, experience of working in a care home would be advantageous as some residents require texture modified and fortified food.

Imagination in menu preparation and presentation of food is key, along with the ability to liaise with residents to determine their preferences is key to this role.

Experience of providing staff supervision, and the ability to use an electronic ordering system would also be advantageous.

The service operates 24 hours per day and flexibility in shifts is essential to be considered for this role.

In order to be considered for this role you must have received both Covid vaccinations, in line with Government legislation for working in care homes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
