Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Operative to support the maintenance and upkeep of residential rental properties across Southampton.

Responsibilities

Carry out general property maintenance and handyman tasks
Minor repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work where appropriate
Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and appliances
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues reported by tenants
Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance requirements
Replace light fixtures, door handles, locks, and other basic fittings
Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard and ready for tenant occupancy
Report major issues requiring specialist contractors

Requirements

Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman work, or similar
Ability to carry out a wide range of basic repair and maintenance tasks
Own tools preferred (not essential)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence preferred
Right to work in the UK
Must be based in or near Southampton and able to travel to different property locations
