Experienced Construction Operative / General Builder required – Permanent Role

Pay: approximately £17.00 – £19.00 per hour (depending on experience and ability)

Join a specialist swimming pool construction company. We are seeking an experienced Construction Operative / General Builder with proven construction industry experience to work on high-quality projects across the UK. Applicants must have their own transport and be able to travel reliably to our base. Previous swimming pool experience is advantageous but not essential. Full UK driving licence required.

Own transport to travel reliably to our base
Willingness to work away from home occasionally (accommodation provided)
Previous hands-on construction and building experience

About the Role

We are a specialist swimming pool construction company seeking an experienced Construction Operative / General Builder to join our growing team.

While previous swimming pool experience is advantageous, it is not essential. We are looking for someone with a solid background in construction and building practices, who understands site work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently as part of a professional installation team.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in:

General building
Construction and site installation work
Multi-trade building projects

You will be involved in all stages of swimming pool construction and installation, working on high-quality projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of swimming pool construction and installation
Carry out general building and construction tasks
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Load, unload, and organise materials and equipment
Drive company vehicles when required
Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects on schedule

Essential Skills & Experience

Applicants must have:

Proven experience working in construction and building industries, or related trades
Strong practical building skills and site knowledge
Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative when required
Experience using hand and power tools
Ability to read and follow site instructions
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (not essential):

Previous swimming pool construction experience
