Sutton & Cavill Decorating Ltd

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Self-Employed Painter and Decorator to join our small, friendly team. We provide a consistent flow of local residential and commercial work around Mid Devon and surrounding areas, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality finishes while we handle scheduling and client sourcing.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces (cleaning, sanding, priming)
Apply paint, wallpaper, and decorative finishes to a high standard
Work on residential and commercial properties
Maintain clean and safe working environments
Communicate professionally with clients on-site
Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 minimum (NVQ Level 3 desirable)
Full UK driving licence
Own vehicle (essential)
Proven experience in painting and decorating
Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
Good organisation and communication skills

You take pride in your work, maintain high standards, and present yourself professionally on-site. You’re reliable, tidy, and a team player who can also work independently when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Freelance

Pay: £18.00-£21.50 per hour
