Full job description

We are seeking a professional, highly organised, and personable Office Assistant to join our busy education centre. This is a varied role that combines administration, customer service, and general office support.

Hours are: Mondays (3pm-9pm) Tuesdays (1pm-9pm) and Wednesdays (1pm-9pm) in a busy music school in Wimbledon.

The successful candidate will be highly presentable, confident when dealing with customers, and able to maintain a welcoming and professional environment for students, parents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Meeting and greeting customers, students, and visitors
Providing excellent customer service both in person and by telephone/email
Managing diaries, appointments, and room bookings
Raising invoices and supporting day-to-day accounts administration
Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
Using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to support administrative functions
Assisting with general office administration and correspondence
Monitoring the school environment to ensure it remains tidy, organised, and presentable at all times
Supporting the wider team with administrative and operational tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

Previous administration or office experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Professional and confident manner

Desirable:

Experience using Xero accounting software (preferred but not essential)

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment and takes pride in ensuring that both the office and customer experience run smoothly.
