Flight Purchasing Assistant

Join our fast-paced Transport team where your attention to detail and organisation will directly support the delivery of exceptional travel experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of escorted tours, cruises, and solo holidays while building strong relationships with airline partners.

The role

As a Flight Purchasing Assistant you will focus on securing accurate and cost-effective flight bookings that align with customer itineraries. Working across multiple systems and liaising with airlines, the role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth and seamless travel experience from the very start.

Join a fun, passionate team of travel professionals who take pride in making every guest holiday truly exceptional.

This role supports hybrid working, with two days in the office each week and the remaining days working from home.

You must be flexible to work across Monday to Friday with shift patterns of either 8am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5.30pm

What you’ll be doing:

Managing flight bookings across airline portals, consolidators, email, and telephone
Allocating and confirming flight seats in line with customer itineraries
Liaising with airlines to check availability, secure competitive pricing, and resolve queries
Making informed decisions around overbudget bookings and identifying suitable alternatives where required
Handling cancellations, schedule changes, and rebooking arrangements efficiently and accurately
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Tracking and supporting supplier performance
Checking all booking details to ensure complete accuracy across names, dates, and routes

Your Expertise:

Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive approach with the confidence to solve problems independently
Strong organisation and time management skills
Experience with Amadeus or other GDS systems would be an advantage, although full training is provided
Familiarity with systems such as Traveller and Atlas would be beneficial
