Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced sous chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. This role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences while managing staff and overseeing food production processes.

Responsibilities

Key member of the kitchen team team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, cooking, and presentation standards.
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise performance.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and quality control of dishes served.
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively.
Uphold a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is required.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and management.
Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
Will live with in a 25 mile radius of Leighton Buzzard or be will to re locate to the area.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
