Full job description

Support Workers – 2 Positions Available: 1 Full-Time Day Shift & 1 Full-Time Waking Night Shift – Both Fully Flexible

Due to the personal care and support needs of the female resident at this service, this role is open to female applicants only.

You must also:

Hold a full UK driving licence.
Have access to your own vehicle, as the service is not easily accessible by public transport.
Be looking for a full-time position. We have already recruited our part-time staff, so please do not apply if you are only looking for part-time hours.
Be able to work the required day or waking night shifts.
Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team from the very beginning and help shape the culture, routines, and environment of a brand-new service.

The role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to the resident, helping to ensure their safety, wellbeing, dignity and comfort throughout the day or night.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing reassurance and emotional support when needed.
Supporting with personal care where required.
Completing regular welfare checks.
Maintaining accurate records.
Carrying out light household duties to ensure the home is ready for the next shift.
Responding calmly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies.
Promoting independence, dignity and choice at all times.

Hours

Full-time permanent contract.
1 full-time day position available.
1 full-time waking night position available.
Both positions require flexibility.
Weekend and bank holiday working will be required on a rota basis.

Ideally experienced in care or support work (mental health, learning disabilities, autism or similar), although full training will be provided.
Confident supporting personal care and emotional wellbeing.

Respectful of the resident's dignity, privacy and individual needs.

Essential requirements

Female applicants only due to the personal care requirements of the female resident.
Full UK driving licence.
Access to your own vehicle.
Able to work full-time hours.
For the waking night position, able to work full-time waking night shifts.
