Full job description

Overview
Cafe Amour is a brand-new independent café opening in Crouch End, and we’re looking for a friendly, reliable Barista/Waitress to join our team part-time.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
Serve food items with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining high standards of presentation.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including coffee machines and serving areas.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
Maintain knowledge of menu items to assist customers with recommendations.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Skills

Experience as a barista or in a similar hospitality role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices are maintained.
Strong serving skills with the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent time management to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts.
Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your hospitality expertise while providing memorable experiences for our guests.
