About the role

Our work matters to millions. It’ll matter to you too. Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Support Manager and be a key part of delivering complex, meaningful, and impactful projects.

To lead the administration, office management and business support function for the Longside Project, ensuring the efficient operation of site-based support services and providing effective support to project and operational teams.

The role is responsible for managing Project Coordinators, administrative personnel and reception services, ensuring governance, resource planning, stakeholder coordination, facilities management and continuous improvement whilst supporting the successful delivery of the SSE Longside Project.

Hours of work per week - 45

What you'll be doing

Line manage Project Coordinators, Project Administrators, Reception personnel and other project support staff assigned to the project.
Allocate workload and resources across the administration and business support teams to support project requirements.
Support recruitment, onboarding and induction activities for project personnel.
Maintain oversight of training, competency and development requirements across the support function.
Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and support succession planning activities.
Ensure adequate administrative and reception coverage is maintained to support project delivery requirementAct as the focal point for project administration, office management and business support activities.

Organised and able to manage a busy workload.
Excellent communication skills and credibility with farmers, landowners and
clients.
Attention to detail.
Up to date IT skills.
Team player.
Ability to resolves complex problems that do not have routine solutions.
Ability to negotiate tactfully and diplomatically with people at all levels.
Valid Driver’s license
