We specialise in luxury private dining, weddings, corporate hospitality, venue catering and bespoke events. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to support our Events Team and Director in driving new business opportunities and strengthening our position within the market.

The Role
The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and supporting the conversion of enquiries into confirmed bookings.
The role will focus on corporate events, weddings, venue partnerships and relationship management, working closely with the Events Team and Director to achieve annual sales targets.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing their own workload whilst representing the business professionally at meetings, networking events and wedding fairs.
In addition, the role will play a key part in promoting the business through the planning and delivery of exclusive tasting events, venue showcases and industry networking experiences designed to generate new partnerships, referrals and bookings.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Generate qualified leads across weddings, corporate events and private dining.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and key industry contacts.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and wedding fairs.
- Conduct venue visits and client meetings.
- Develop strategic partnerships with venues, wedding planners and event professionals.
- Identify opportunities to increase repeat business and referrals.
- Represent the business professionally at industry events and networking opportunities.
Industry Showcase & Tasting Events
- Plan, organise and host tasting events for prospective corporate clients, venue partners, wedding planners and industry professionals.
- Coordinate showcase evenings designed to introduce new businesses and industry contacts to the Baba Ganoush Dining brand and offering.
- Work closely with the Director, Events Team and Kitchen Team to create engaging tasting experiences that generate new enquiries and bookings.
- Invite and nurture relationships with venue managers, wedding coordinators, event planners, corporate decision-makers and key influencers within the hospitality sector.
- Manage event attendance, follow-up communications and conversion of attendees into future clients and referral partners.
- Develop an annual calendar of showcase events, venue open evenings and networking opportunities to support business growth.
Corporate Sales
- Proactively target corporate organisations and key decision makers.
- Develop relationships with HR teams, office managers, executive assistants and business owners.
- Promote corporate dining experiences, team events and hospitality packages.
- Generate repeat business opportunities from existing corporate clients.
- Arrange and attend corporate sales meetings.
- Build relationships with local businesses, professional services firms and organisations within key target sectors.
Wedding & Events Sales
- Support the growth of wedding bookings.
- Build relationships with wedding venues and wedding planners.
- Attend wedding fairs and showcase events.
- Promote Baba Ganoush Dining as a preferred supplier.
- Work closely with the Events Team to maximise wedding enquiry conversion.
- Develop new opportunities within the wedding and celebrations market.
Venue Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner venues.
- Identify opportunities for preferred supplier agreements.
- Arrange venue showcase events and familiarisation visits.
- Increase venue-generated referrals and bookings.
- Conduct regular venue visits to strengthen partnerships.
- Develop new venue opportunities across the North East and surrounding regions.
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and sales systems.
- Manage and prioritise own sales pipeline.
- Produce regular sales activity reports.
- Monitor enquiry conversion rates and booking trends.
- Work closely with the Events Team to ensure smooth client handovers.
- Provide monthly updates on pipeline activity, opportunities and performance against targets.

Essential Experience
Applicants must have proven experience in:
- Sales and business development

- Wedding industry sales
- Catering, hospitality or events industry

Working Arrangements
This role offers flexibility whilst maintaining a strong presence within the business.
Working expectations include:
- Approximately 80% of working hours spent within the office, attending client meetings or conducting venue visits.
- Up to 20% of working hours may be worked remotely from home.
- Availability for one to two evenings per week for sales appointments, networking events or client consultations.
- Attendance at approximately six wedding fairs per year, typically on Sundays during quieter periods.
- Flexibility to attend evening showcase events, venue tastings and networking opportunities as required.
