Warehouse Operative (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Thorp Arch Estate, Wetherby, LS23 7FA
Contract: Full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract
Contract term: June to December 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations.

This is a hands-on role that involves picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, handling stock, supporting quality control, and helping with deliveries. It would suit someone who is organised, proactive, and happy to be part of a small, friendly team.

About Pachamama

Pachamama is a knitwear wholesaler with a growing digital retail business based in Wetherby, Yorkshire. We are a friendly small business that has been designing and selling woollen goods for over 30 years. Most of our products are hand made in Nepal from 100% natural wool, and our designs are unique and expressive.

We are proud members of BAFTS (The British Association for Fair Trade Shops & Suppliers) and have charity partnerships with Right4Children, and Net4Kids.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently
Manage and maintain warehouse stock levels
Stock control and general warehouse organisation
Carry out quality control checks on products
Load and unload deliveries
Receive, check, and put away incoming stock
Help keep the warehouse clean, tidy, safe, and organised
Support the wider team with general warehouse duties as required

We are looking for someone who is:

Organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
Enthusiastic, dependable, and a quick learner
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Confident in verbal communication and able to work well with colleagues
Physically able to lift and move stock as part of the role

Physical Requirements

This role involves manual handling, including lifting, moving, and organising stock, so applicants should be comfortable with the physical side of warehouse work.
