Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining excellent food safety and cleaning standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for food production, team management, and hospitality to showcase their culinary expertise. The Chef/Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and ensuring the smooth functioning of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
Manage food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Serve food to customers when required, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met.

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within hospitality or restaurant environments
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Demonstrated skills in food production, presentation, and quality control
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality is highly desirable
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
