JOB REFERENCE: RSC 06/26

REPORTING TO: Executive Chef

HOURS: Full-time hours working 4-5 days out of 7.

JOB LOCATION: The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, Templepatrick 882 Antrim Road, Templepatrick, Ballyclare.

SALARY: £13.54 - £14.54 per hour

The Rabbit Grill Room Restaurant promises a fresh, innovative, and seasonally led menu with a warm welcome, all brought together in a beautifully designed space. Like all good things in life, food is best served around the table with friends and we have menus to please a crowd – appetisers to pique your interest, pizzas for a slice of comfort, sharing options for two, dishes inspired by an Italian-American influence, and a lunch spread to keep you going.

We are currently recruiting for a Chef De Partie to work in our Rabbit Grill Room Restaurant. This is an amazing opportunity for passionate, hardworking chef to progress in their career. You will join a dedicated brigade that is passionate about delivering excellent food every time!

Job description:

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

The preparation of local fresh produce and cooking of various cuisines to a very high standard.
Running a kitchen section and taking responsibility for all dishes in your section ensuring consistent presentation every time.
Ensuring all meals are delivered on time.
Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation and production ensuring high standards are consistently met.
Working alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily and weekly specials.
Assist in the training and development of junior chefs.
Ensuring minimum wastage and implementing new ideas for reducing wastage.
Working within and maintaining all associated Health, Safety, and Hygiene guidelines/procedures while working.
Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times and making sure your personal appearance and uniform is in line with the required hotel standards at all times.

The Person:

Applicant must:

Be passionate about food and have a willingness to work hard in a dynamic evolving kitchen.
Have at least 1-years’ experience working as a Chef de Partie, working within a busy kitchen environment.
Have a keen eye for detail and great organisational skills.
Enjoy working as part of a team, be able to multi-task, and work well under pressure.
Hold basic Food Hygiene Qualification or above.
Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work days/evenings and weekends.
Must have a good, pleasant manner and be well presented.
