About the Company

Our client is a growing manufacturing and distribution business committed to delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Assistant to join their onsite team.

German language skills, or proficiency in another European language, would be advantageous due to interaction with international customers and suppliers, although this is not essential.

The Role

This is a varied position combining customer service, sales ledger administration, and order processing responsibilities. Working closely with sales, logistics, and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service while supporting the smooth running of finance and order management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Raise and issue customer invoices linked to sales orders
Manage accounts receivable and allocate customer payments accurately
Monitor customer accounts and undertake credit control activities
Liaise professionally with customers regarding billing queries and overdue balances
Process and manage customer orders through the ERP/order management system
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate order fulfilment and invoicing
Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
Provide excellent customer service and support across all customer touchpoints

About YouEssential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a customer service role
Good understanding of sales ledger and accounts receivable processes
Experience using accounting, ERP, or order management systems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain sectors
German language skills (written and/or spoken), or another European language
Previous exposure to ERP systems and order processing functions

Personal Attributes

Organised, reliable, and self-motivated
Professional and customer-focused in approach
Comfortable working onsite within a collaborative team environment
Proactive with the ability to take ownership of tasks
