Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently. As a Courier Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van or similar vehicle for the delivery of goods.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred. but not essential.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.

£50,000 goods in transit insurance is required
