We're looking for compassionate and committed Children's Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated teams in Cheshunt and Tottenham. About the Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll become a trusted and consistent adult in the lives of the young people you support. You'll help create a safe, nurturing and structured home environment where children feel secure, respected and encouraged to achieve their goals.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you'll provide emotional, practical and therapeutic support while promoting independence, confidence and positive life experiences.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emotional, practical and social support tailored to each young person's individual needs.
- Support daily routines including education, meals, appointments, activities and the development of independent living skills.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
- Act as a keyworker, contributing to care planning, placement objectives and positive outcomes.
- Use therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and nurturing home environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Ofsted standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and reflective practice.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
About You
We're looking for caring, resilient and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping children and young people thrive.
You'll have:
- Experience supporting children or young people within residential care, social care, education, SEN, youth work or a similar environment.
- A compassionate, dependable and child-centred approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and trauma-informed practice.
- A commitment to working full-time day shifts within a residential childcare setting.
The following would also be beneficial:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards achieving it).
- Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
- A full UK driving licence.
