Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and leadership within a hospitality environment. The Chef will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and elevating our restaurant’s reputation through innovative cuisine and excellent service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and managing team members
Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Creativity in menu development and presentation techniques
Experience in food production, hospitality, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Ability to serve customers professionally when required
