Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in hospitality or janitorial services to contribute to a professional and friendly atmosphere. All positions are paid, including internships, and require a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities according to established standards
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as needed
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness
Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or hazards
Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and materials
Assist with laundry duties when required
Uphold confidentiality regarding guest information and property
Dispose of waste responsibly in accordance to hotel recycling policies
Work independently or within a small team to achieve time standards

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail with organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties efficiently throughout shifts
Reliable with a positive attitude towards guest service standards
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if necessary
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations is advantageous
