Full job description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated organised and methodical full time Nurse Manager to work in partnership with our current Clinical Services Manager to provide operational leadership to the Care Home team.

WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP FOR OVERSEAS CANDIDATES.

For over 100 years, we have provided care for extraordinary ex-servicemen and women of varying ages and needs, from those who served in WW2 to those who more recently served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is important for us to remember their extraordinary stories and that after their service has finished, Broughton House is where they call home.

You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary and enthusiastic team providing a variety of care to up to 64 veterans including holistic services, dementia care, general nursing and residential needs at our recently rebuilt state-of-the-art site in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Our unique approach is an inspiring vision to enable and empower the armed forces community to live with dignity and independence in ‘life after service’.

About the role

· Provide inspiring leadership, management and support for staff on a day-to-day basis.

· Accountable for the operational running of the home.

· Direct Line management of Housekeeping and catering teams.

· Support the Registered Manager in delivering the CQC requirements of a safe, caring, responsive, effective well-led service by being accountable for the operational leadership across all care departments and the effective induction, training and leadership of all care staff.

To deputise for the Registered Manager as necessary.

· Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the CQC and its requirements. Undertake walk rounds and audits in line with governance processes and policy.

Who you are:

An NMC Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD), you will have well developed leadership and operational management skills and clinical knowledge, and determined to drive continuous improvement.

About you

Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a senior nurse in a Care Home.
Relevant nursing qualification and UK NMC PIN (required)
Safeguarding, MCA and DoLs training and experience
The candidate is required to have previous experience in the nursing home setting and strong operational knowledge.
Must be passionate about delivering continuous improvement
Competent IT skills and willingness to learn new software.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
Flexible and adaptable to change
