Full job description

Location: Pool-in-Wharfedale, Leeds (Hybrid)
Salary: £24,000 starting salary + uncapped monthly bonus (£500–£1,000 typical monthly OTE)
Hours: Full-time (36-hour working week) or part-time opportunities available
Contract: Permanent

Join us on a £24,000 starting salary, with uncapped performance bonus and a clear route to increase your basic salary to £26,000 within your first 12 months:

Starting salary: £24,000 + uncapped monthly bonus
After 6 months: Progress to £25,000 basic salary, subject to performance and successful probation
After 12 months: Increase to £26,000 basic salary with continued strong performance
Bonus: Uncapped, with £500–£1,000 typical monthly OTE
Full-time: Just 36 hours per week
Part-time: We’re also open to experienced candidates looking for part-time hours
Hybrid working: Giving you greater flexibility between home and office

If you’ve worked in a contact centre, telephone sales, lead qualification, appointment setting or target-driven customer service environment, this could be your next move.

At Lead Tech, our Qualifications Specialists speak with consumers looking for financial advice, understand their circumstances and requirements, and connect them with an appropriate regulated financial adviser.

This is not a scripted call-handling role.

We need people who can think on their feet, listen properly, ask intelligent questions and confidently guide a conversation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every customer is different, so every conversation is different.

You’ll speak directly with consumers, understand what they need, and determine whether and how one of our financial advice partners can help.

You’ll be responsible for:

Conducting detailed fact-finds to understand customers’ circumstances, financial goals and requirements.
Asking effective, probing questions to uncover the information needed to properly qualify each customer.
Building rapport quickly and creating trust over the telephone.
Confidently taking ownership of conversations and keeping them focused and productive.
Matching customers with an appropriate financial adviser based on their needs and preferences.
Setting high-quality, qualified appointments and clearly explaining what happens next.
Managing customer expectations throughout the journey.
Identifying signs of customer vulnerability and adapting your approach appropriately.
Handling personal and potentially sensitive information professionally.
Working accurately within FCA requirements and Consumer Duty principles.
Identifying additional relevant opportunities where appropriate, while always keeping the customer’s needs at the centre of the conversation.
Consistently working towards individual and team KPIs, quality measures and performance targets.

The Person We’re Looking For - Experience matters for this role.

We’re looking for people who already know how to communicate effectively with customers over the telephone and are comfortable being measured on their performance.

You’ll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

Contact centre environments
Telephone sales
Lead qualification
Appointment setting
Financial services
Target-driven customer service
Outbound or inbound telephone roles

More importantly, you’ll be able to demonstrate that you can build rapport, uncover customer needs and achieve results without compromising the quality of the customer experience.

You’ll Need To Be:

Confident – You’re comfortable taking control of a conversation and asking direct questions when needed.

Curious – You don’t just accept the first answer. You listen, probe and make sure you properly understand the customer’s circumstances.

Personable – You can build rapport quickly and make customers feel comfortable discussing their situation.

Commercially aware – You understand that this is a performance-driven role and you’re motivated by achieving targets and earning bonus.

Resilient – Not every conversation will be straightforward. You can stay positive, professional and focused throughout the day.

Empathetic – You recognise that financial conversations can be personal and sensitive, and you know when to adjust your approach.

Accurate – You understand the importance of capturing the right information and following processes correctly.

Driven – You want to perform well, earn well and progress.

Financial Services Experience

Previous financial services experience is desirable, particularly if you already understand:

Consumer Duty
Customer vulnerability
Regulated customer journeys
Financial advice or lead generation

However, we’ll also consider candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate strong telephone experience, a track record of achieving targets and excellent customer communication skills.

We’ll provide comprehensive training on our products, processes and regulatory requirements.
