Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Sales Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer orders, handling enquiries, and supporting smooth communication between customers and internal departments.

This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours.

Due to the rural location, you must drive and have your own reliable transport.

Job Description

Processing customer orders received via website, email, and telephone
Handling customer queries and providing prompt, professional responses by phone and email
Preparing and sending order confirmations and quotations to customers
Liaising with the Accounts team and Production department to ensure orders are processed efficiently
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all customer information and order details
Providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider team with administrative tasks
Proactively contacting existing and prospective customers from company databases to generate sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships
Following up quotations, previous enquiries, and lapsed customers to identify new business opportunities

Person Specification

Required

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve errors
Good telephone manner with a confident and professional approach
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
Comfortable making outbound sales calls and engaging with customers in a professional manner
Confident in identifying sales opportunities and building rapport with customers
Self-motivated with a positive and proactive approach to achieving sales targets

Desirable

Previous experience in a sales, customer service environment would be advantageous
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has strong administrative skills, and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient service.
