About Christine House

Christine House is a premium events and wedding venue in Rainham, Kent, offering a range of spaces suitable for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and large-scale functions.

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Events Business Development Manager to take responsibility for generating new business and increasing bookings across the venue.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is confident in sales, enjoys building relationships and wants their earnings to directly reflect the business they generate.

The Role

You will play a key role in growing Christine House by identifying and converting new business opportunities across weddings, corporate events and private functions.

This is not simply an events coordination position. We are looking for someone who can actively generate leads, build relationships, conduct sales conversations, arrange viewings and ultimately close bookings.

You will have significant autonomy to develop your own sales pipeline and will be expected to proactively pursue opportunities rather than relying solely on enquiries generated by the venue.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new wedding, corporate and private event enquiries.
Proactively identify and approach potential clients and organisations.
Build relationships with wedding planners, event planners, businesses, agencies and other industry contacts.
Respond to and qualify incoming enquiries.
Conduct sales calls and follow-ups with prospective clients.
Arrange and conduct venue viewings.
Prepare proposals and packages tailored to individual client requirements.
Negotiate with clients and close bookings.
Upsell catering, drinks packages and additional event services where appropriate.
Develop corporate event opportunities, including Christmas parties, conferences, celebrations and staff events.
Maintain an organised sales pipeline and consistently follow up prospective clients.
Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business.
Work closely with the Christine House team to ensure a smooth transition from enquiry through to confirmed booking.
Monitor your own performance against agreed sales and revenue targets.

Who We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in events sales, wedding sales, hospitality sales, business development or another target-driven sales environment.

You could be an excellent fit if you are currently working in:

A wedding or events venue
A hotel or hospitality business
An event agency
Wedding planning
Corporate events
Hospitality sales
Business development
High-value B2C or B2B sales

However, industry experience is not essential if you can demonstrate a strong track record of selling and generating business.

The ideal candidate will be:

Highly confident and personable.
Commercially minded and target-driven.
Comfortable approaching potential clients and generating their own leads.
An excellent communicator and negotiator.
Confident conducting sales calls and venue tours.
Persistent and highly organised with follow-ups.
Comfortable discussing high-value purchases with clients.
Able to build genuine long-term relationships.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Professional and presentable when representing a premium venue.
Driven by results and motivated by uncapped earning potential.

What We're Looking For in Your Experience

Commission & Earning Potential

This is a commission-based opportunity with uncapped earning potential.

Your earnings will be directly linked to the revenue you generate for Christine House.

The more business you generate and close, the more you earn.

This structure is particularly suited to someone who already has a strong network within the events, wedding, hospitality or corporate sectors, as well as ambitious sales professionals who are confident in generating their own opportunities.
