About the Team
Our Property Services team looks after around 700 properties, including homes, hostels, and office premises. We work closely with in-house colleagues and trusted local contractors, collaborating across departments to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Officer with a strong plastering and tiling background to join our Property Services team. You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality repairs and maintenance service across our homes, hostels, and offices.
You’ll work independently and as part of a small, supportive in-house team, carrying out day-to-day repairs, void works, and planned maintenance — always with customer service, safety, and quality at the forefront.
What You'll Be Doing

Carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance work with a focus on carpentry and joinery
- Install, repair and maintain doors, kitchens, flooring, locks, skirting boards, architraves and other carpentry elements
- Undertake multi-trade repairs including plastering, tiling, painting and decorating, and basic plumbing
- Diagnose and resolve building defects efficiently and effectively
- Complete responsive repairs, void property works and planned maintenance projects
- Carry out damp and mould treatments and report findings to help identify long-term solutions
- Support property inspections and assist with scheduling repair works
- Deliver high standards of customer service while working in customers' homes
- Record completed works accurately using mobile devices and maintenance systems
- Work safely and in line with health and safety legislation, company policies and risk assessments
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from people who:

Have proven experience as a multi-skilled tradesperson with strong carpentry skills
- Have experience in a range of maintenance trades including plastering, tiling, plumbing, flooring repairs, painting and decorating
- Take pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service
- Can work independently and manage their own workload effectively
- Have strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Are comfortable using smartphones or handheld devices to update work records
- Have knowledge of damp, mould and building maintenance repairs
- Hold relevant work-based certifications, including Health & Safety training
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence and are confident driving a van
Desirable

NVQ Level 2, Advanced Construction Award, or equivalent trade qualification
- Experience working within social housing
- Additional trade skills
- Knowledge of Building Regulations and housing maintenance standards
