Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to oversee our kitchen and to breathe new life in to our kitchen.

The ideal candidate(s) will possess a deep understanding of food production and culinary techniques and play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences while managing kitchen operations.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Supervise any kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximise profitability without compromising quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent culinary skills with creativity in food presentation and flavour combinations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff.
A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Ideally looking for two chefs to work split shifts as kitchen is open 9:30am until 9pm daily in the summer

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
