Full job description

We are '*_Kardoma_*' a coffee/brunch shop in Whitefield, North Manchester. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate Chef /cook to join our team.

This is an important role within our business, and we are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in the food they produce. The right person will be organised, consistent and capable of maintaining high standards even during busy
Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and cooking dishes consistently to a high standard

* Ensuring every dish is presented correctly and consistently before leaving the kitchen
* Maintaining excellent portion control, food quality and presentation
* Completing food preparation efficiently and ensuring the kitchen is ready for service
* Managing multiple orders effectively during busy periods
* Maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment
* Following all food hygiene, allergen and food-safety procedures
* Monitoring stock levels and helping to minimise unnecessary food waste
* Ensuring ingredients are correctly stored, labelled and rotated
* Working closely with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house team
* Helping maintain the standards and reputation of the business

The successful candidate should have:

* Previous professional chef /cook experience
* Established breakfast/brunch menu experience
* Excellent presentation and plating skills
* The ability to produce consistent food quality and presentation
* Excellent time-management and punctuality
* The ability to remain organised and efficient during busy services
* A strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
* Up-to-date food knowledge and awareness of industry standards
* High attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to work independently when required
* A professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and the business
* A reliable and professional approach.
We don’t simply need somebody who can cook.

We are looking for a Chef who understands the importance of consistency. Customers should receive the same high-quality dish regardless of whether the kitchen is quiet or in the middle of a busy service.

You should be somebody who takes pride in presentation, notices the small details and maintains standards without constantly needing to be reminded.

Reliability and punctuality are extremely important. We need somebody the rest of the team can depend on and who arrives prepared and ready for service.

Professionalism – Taking the role seriously and maintaining high standards at all times.
