Job Summary

This will be a brand new coffee shop looking to open end of August. This coffee shop is apart of the Royal Hotel, Whitley Bay

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, food preparation, and customer service within a vibrant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, following company standards.
Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage customer payments efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces.
Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygienic standards are upheld.
Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, utensils, and packaging materials.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience would be great but not essential as training can be provided.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour to enhance the customer experience.This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills while providing excellent service to our valued customers. Pay: £12.71 per hour
