Pay: Up to £13.70 per hour
Shifts: 2am - 10am / 4am - 12pm
Contract: Full time / Permanent

Job Description:

Join Our Growing Bakery Team!

Since opening our doors in 2011, Coffee House has grown into a thriving business, now operating over 42 stores across the North of England. Behind every great store is our Central Production Hub in Warrington, home to our Warehouse, Production Kitchen and Bakery where we create the fresh, high quality products that fuel our teams and delight our customers.

We’re now looking for a passionate Baker to join our talented team of craftspeople, who collectively bring over 130 years of experience to our bakery. When you join our team, you will spend 4 / 8 weeks in our training programme, working next to two of the UK’s finest scratch bakers. They will guide you through the art of scratch baking and ensure you are confident to continue at their high standards.

What You’ll Do:

Bake high quality bread and pastries in large volumes for distribution across all stores.
Use traditional and modern baking techniques to create a range of products from scratch, using only fresh ingredients from local and independent suppliers.
Take pride in the quality, consistency and presentation of your work, our standards are high, and our customers notice.
Support our confectionary team, when needed.
Ensure all baked goods meet internal quality, aesthetic and uniformity standards.
Work closely with the Production Manager and wider kitchen and warehouse teams to meet daily output targets.
Follow all food safety, hygiene and allergen standards, including safe storage, labelling and cleaning routines.
Accurately record all relevant checks and information using our internal systems (Safety Culture).
Take responsibility for opening and closing the bakery when scheduled.
Maintain and operate all bakery equipment safely and effectively.
Support the continuous improvement of our product range by responding to store feedback.

About You:

A background in food production and food hygiene and safety, with hands on experience in a similar environment.
Preferably - experienced in baking, pastry or culinary arts.
Comfortable working in a fast paced production kitchen.
A collaborative and flexible approach to work, with a desire to learn and grow with the business.
A keen eye for detail and quality, with a genuine passion for the craft of baking.
Able to communicate effectively and contribute positively to the wider team culture.

This position requires a commitment of five days a week over seven, with a shift pattern of 2AM - 11AM or 4AM - 12PM

Pay: Up to £13.70 per hour
