Full job description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales & Tender Administrator to support our sales and business development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and applying for relevant tenders, managing sales communications, maintaining customer records, generating new business leads, and supporting the sales team with administrative tasks.

Key ResponsibilitiesTender & Bid Management

Monitor tender portals and procurement websites for relevant opportunities.
Review tender requirements and assess suitability.
Prepare, compile, and submit tender and bid documentation.
Maintain records of tender submissions and outcomes.
Coordinate with internal departments to gather information required for bids.

Sales Administration

Manage sales inboxes and respond to customer enquiries.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documents.
Update and maintain CRM and customer databases.
Schedule appointments and follow-up activities for the sales team.
Generate reports on sales activities and opportunities.

Lead Generation & Data Research

Research target markets and potential customers.
Source and compile business contact information from publicly available sources.
Maintain accurate prospect databases.
Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
Support outbound sales campaigns through data collection and organisation.

Customer Service & Communication

Communicate professionally with clients via email and telephone.
Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and proposals.
Maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Assist with customer onboarding and account administration.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in sales administration, business support, or tender management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with CRM systems.
Ability to research and gather business information accurately.
High attention to detail when preparing documents and submissions.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Desirable

Experience submitting public or private sector tenders.
Knowledge of procurement portals and bid processes.
Experience with lead generation and market research.
Understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.

Performance Bonus

In addition to the basic salary, the employee will be eligible for a Tender Success Bonus for each tender or bid successfully awarded to the company where they have played a significant role in the preparation and submission process.

Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
