Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator (Full-Time – Part-Time also Considered)

Myers Motor Merchandise Ltd
Location: Marple
Salary: £25,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Closing date: Monday 7th September 2026

About Us

Myers Motor Merchandise is a small, family-run business specialising in promotional merchandise for the automotive industry.

We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, personal service to our customers and have built long-standing relationships with both customers and suppliers.

We're now looking for an organised, proactive and dependable Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to join our small team and take ownership of the day-to-day purchasing and logistics side of the business.

This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are exactly the same. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems and getting things done.

We are primarily looking for someone to join us on a full-time basis; however, for the right candidate, we would consider part-time hours.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Raising and placing purchase orders with UK and overseas suppliers
Checking purchase orders carefully for quantities, specifications, pricing and delivery requirements
Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, production and lead times
Tracking orders and ensuring deadlines are met
Organising UK and international deliveries and couriers
Resolving delivery, supplier and order issues
Keeping customers and the wider team updated on order progress where required
Checking supplier invoices and delivery charges
Maintaining accurate order and purchasing records
Answering telephone calls and assisting customers and suppliers
General administrative duties
Helping with packing and dispatching orders when required
Supporting the wider team during busy periods

As a small business, we all get involved when needed, so we're looking for someone who is just as comfortable placing purchase orders and dealing with suppliers as they are helping pack an urgent order ready for collection.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets and email
Quick to learn new software and systems
Confident working with numbers and checking costs and quantities
Calm and constructive when things get busy
Comfortable working as part of a small team
Flexible and happy to get involved in different areas of the business
Looking for a stable, long-term position with the opportunity to grow

You'll ideally have at least two years' experience working in an office-based role and be confident using online systems and software.

We're a family-run business and would particularly like to find someone who wants to settle into the role, become an important part of our team and grow with the company over the long term.

Bonus Skills

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous, but isn't essential:

Purchasing or procurement
Logistics and courier management
Promotional merchandise, print or a similar industry
Adobe Illustrator
