Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our Warehouse Operations Team as a Senior Warehouse Operative.

In this role, you will primarily support the Goods Out Supervisor and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Goods Out area. You will play a key role in ensuring all customer orders are picked, checked and shipped accurately and on time, while leading and supporting the team to deliver against daily operational targets.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, combining operational duties with team leadership and coordination responsibilities.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is:

Proactive and confident in identifying and resolving issues
A positive and reliable team player with a strong work ethic
An effective communicator, able to engage and influence colleagues at all levels
Comfortable leading a team and delegating tasks
Organised and able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
Customer focused with a strong attention to detail
Able to work to deadlines and achieve daily operational targets
Flexible and willing to support wider operational needs when required

Experience and Skills:

Previous warehouse experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Team leader or supervisory experience would be beneficial but is not essential. We're looking for someone who has strong people skills, can delegate tasks effectively, and is ready to take the next step in their career.
FLT licences (Reach, Counterbalance, or HLOP) are an advantage; however, full in-house training will be provided.
A good understanding of warehouse operations and despatch processes would be beneficial.
A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on the warehouse floor.
A willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to continuous improvement.
This role would suit an experienced warehouse operative who is looking to progress into a Senior Operative position with greater responsibility running a small team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day warehouse operations.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, with flexibility required to meet operational demands.

Salary:

up to £28,500.00 per annum
