Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a welcoming setting. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working with people and have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food preparation areas.
Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
Serve food items such as cakes or snacks as required, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and assist with inventory control.
Keep the work environment clean, organised, and welcoming for customers.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers courteously and efficiently.
Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including giving correct change.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic food preparation skills are beneficial.
Good time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock counts.
Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
Organised with an eye for detail to ensure quality standards are maintained consistently. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build their experience within the hospitality sector while working in a supportive team environment.

Pay: £12.75 per hour
