Location: Merthyr Tudful, CF48 1UZ

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part Time - 24 hours - Monday to Friday

Purpose of Role

We are seeking a professional, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to support the smooth operation of our Facilities Management service.

As the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming environment while ensuring an efficient and professional front-of-house service.

Job Description

The responsibilities of this role may vary depending on the nature of the account, customer requirements, and site operations. Core duties will focus on managing enquiries, handling telephone communications, greeting visitors, and providing an effective point of contact for management teams and site operations.

This role requires someone who can work independently within established procedures, manage varied tasks effectively, and demonstrate a strong understanding of administrative and customer service processes. Professional presentation, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach are essential.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet visitors in a professional and welcoming manner and issue visitor passes where required
Manage incoming calls, enquiries, and direct communications appropriately
Provide administrative support to management teams as required
Organise and maintain reception rotas and arrange cover where necessary
Create and maintain spreadsheets and records to support operational and security functions
Order and manage stationery and office supplies
Ensure compliance with VINCI Facilities systems, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
Support the delivery of an efficient and professional reception service at all times

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work independently and use initiative
